A New Simple Authenticated Key Agreement and Protected Password Change Protocol
In this article, we shall present an authenticated key agreement protocol which is a modified and faster version of the Yeh-Sun scheme. Compared with the latest Kobara-Imai scheme, our scheme takes fewer steps and less computation cost. Besides, we shall also propose a protected password change protocol that allows users to change their own passwords freely. c © 2005 Elsevier Science Ltd. All r...
متن کاملPassword Authenticated Key Exchange and Protected Password Change Protocols
In this paper, we propose new password authenticated key exchange (PAKE) and protected password change (PPC) protocols without any symmetric or public-key cryptosystems. The security of the proposed protocols is based on the computational Diffie-Hellman assumption in the random oracle model. The proposed scheme can resist both forgery server and denial of service attacks.
متن کاملPretty-Simple Password-Authenticated Key-Exchange Protocol
In this paper, we propose pretty simple password-authenticated key-exchange protocol which is based on the difficulty of solving DDH problem. It has the following advantages: (1) Both y1 and y2 in our protocol are independent and thus they can be pre-computed and can be sent independently. This speeds up the protocol. (2) Clients and servers can use almost the same algorithm. This reduces the i...
متن کاملImproving the Lee-lee’s Password Based Authenticated Key Agreement Protocol
Password based authenticated key agreement protocols have been the most widely used methods for user authentication, since it allows people to choose and remember their own passwords without any assistant device. Password based authenticated key agreement protocols, however, are vulnerable to password guessing attacks since users usually choose easy-to-remember passwords. Recently, Lee and Lee ...
متن کاملA protected password change protocol
Some protected password change protocols were proposed. However, the previous protocols were easily vulnerable to several attacks such as denial of service, password guessing, stolen-verifier and impersonation attacks etc. Recently, Chang et al. proposed a simple authenticated key agreement and protected password change protocol for enhancing the security and efficiency. In this paper, authors ...
